These Terms govern your use of the Newsy iOS application. By using the app you agree to them.
The service
Newsy aggregates headlines, short summaries and thumbnails from third-party publishers and links to the original articles. We do not create the news content and are not responsible for its accuracy; all articles remain the property of their publishers. Voice-over is generated on your device from publicly available article text.
Newsy Premium (auto-renewable subscriptions)
- Plans: Weekly, Monthly, Yearly. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before purchase. The yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase (or after the free trial ends).
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
- Manage or cancel anytime in App Store → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period stays active.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Premium removes ads and lifts free-tier limits (saved articles, daily voice-over).
Free tier
The free version includes advertising and limits (up to 20 saved articles, up to 5 voice-overs per day). Limits may change; material changes will be reflected in the app.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the app: no scraping, reverse engineering, redistribution of the service, or interference with its operation. The app links to third-party sites; their terms apply there.
Disclaimer & liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for third-party content. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months.
Changes & termination
We may update these Terms or discontinue features. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Apple's standard Licensed Application EULA applies where not superseded by these Terms.
